Sue's Sassy Coos grew from my love of Highland Cattle, or, as I've come to know them, Heilan Coos.  We moved to the north of Scotland in the summer of 2022 and I'd love nothing more than to have my own herd.  Unfortunately space and holding down a day job means that's not possible so I decided to create my own wee herd.

 

The first herd went to their new homes as Christmas gifts in 2024 and they were so well received I decided to make a few to sell to other loving homes.  And here we are.

Highland Cattle have grazed the Scottish landscape since the sixth century and the Scottish Highland Cattle Society was formed in 1884 just 140 years before Sue's Sassy Coos.

They come in many colours including red, black, white, yellow, dun, silver, brindle and tan.  The classic image today is red but it's black which is the original colour.  Apparently any good herd should have a mixture of colours so I try hard to make sure my herd is always colourful as well as having the Sassy tongue-out look.
